Shotgun Honey Presents:
Both Barrels.
This is not the final cover.

Only two weeks until we shut the doors on submissions for our first anthology, Shotgun Honey Presents: Both Barrels.

That’s right, our title has been chosen, voted upon by our readers from an Editors top 3 pick. Both Barrels soundly beating out Slugs & Sabots and Strapped.

For his winning suggestion, contributor and reader, Rob Kitchen wins a thank you in the book and a copy of the anthology in the format of his choice.

On April 6, 2011 Shotgun Honey launched with its first story and an ambitious goal — to provide a marketplace for flash fiction crime stories under 700 words, with the occasional outstanding exception. A year later and we’ve successfully published over a hundred and fifty stories, with varied themes and degrees of nastiness. We’ve been home to crime staples and novice alike, and the crew –  Kent, Ron, Sabrina and Chad — have enjoyed every word.

Thank you.

Title Contest

Did you think Shotgun Honey Presents… was the name of our anthology? Well, not exactly. We’ve been butting our heads together to think of a catchy title for the anthology. No luck yet.

What we’re looking for is a snappy one or two word title related to noir, hard-boiled, crime fiction. Please do not use ‘Shotgun’ or ‘Honey’ in your proposed title. If you think you’ve got just the right title send us an email to anthology@shotgunhoney.net with [Title Contest] in the subject.

Deadline: July 1st, 2012.
Prize: A copy of Shotgun Honey Presents… in your preferred format, and credit and thank you in the anthology.

Artist

We are looking for an artist to help us produce an outstanding cover for the Shotgun Honey Presents with concepts that can be utilized for future editions and a new Shotgun Honey 2.0 design. Traditional and digital artists welcomed. We are not looking for a designer at this time.

If you’ve got the chops drop us a line at anthology@shotgunhoney.net with [Cover Artist] in the subject.

Please include links to your portfolio. No attachments.
